Visa Prolongation

Multiple-entry visa:

replaces your single-entry visa

allows you to re-enter the country multiple times

is given only for the duration of your study period at HSE University

  • Step 1 (not later than 45 days before your visa expiry date)

    Collect your application package:

    1. a photocopy of passport pages with stamps, marks and previous visas

    2. a receipt confirming payment of a visa extension fee (1 920 roubles). Please contact the Visa and Registration Center at visa-registration@hse.ru to receive a payment slip. Please do not use Sberbank online or a terminal for the fee payment. Pay the fee at the checkout window in Sberbank by giving the payment slip to a bank cashier

    3. migration card original + photocopy

    4. registration slip original + photocopy

    5. 1 photo 35mm*45mm (color)

    6. enrollment documents from SIMO

    7. your contract (for fee-paying students)

  • Step 2

    Submit your documents to the Student Service Centre (11 Pokrovsky Boulevard, Entrance No. 5 (to the right from Entrance No. 1)) during visiting hours: Mon. – Fri. 2 pm – 6 pm

  • Step 3

    Closer to the expiry date of your visa, receive a notification from the Visa and Registration Centre. Bring your passport for getting a new visa.

  • Step 4

    You apply for migration registration prolongation within 3 days from the date of issue of your new visa.

Multiple-entry visa becomes valid straight after the day your single-entry visa expires. If you need to leave Russia before your single-entry visa expires, you can return to Russia only via obtaining a new invitation and applying for a new single-entry visa in your country of residence.

NB! If a student submits documents for the multiple-entry visa later than 45 days until the expiry of the current visa, Visa and Registration Centre will not accept them.
