Orientation Session
Orientation session takes place at the end of August or at the beginning of January before every semester. In order to adjust to student life, it is essential that you participate in the Orientation Session as it will provide you with information on studying at HSE University, living in Moscow, migration and visa rules, as well as other useful tips to help you better enjoy your experience in Russia.
Orientation Session for Spring 2026 students consists of two parts: an online part and and a face-to face part.

How to prepare:
1. Upload these documents to your ASAV profile:
- Migration card (except for citizens of Russia and Belarus)
- Russian visa (if you have it)
- Medical Insurance (for Russian citizens - OMS). If you have not bought your medical insurance yet, you can purchase it from one of the companies listed here (scroll down to Choose an insurance program)
- Registration slip (if you are staying outside an HSE dorm) (https://ivisa.hse.ru/mirror/pubs/share/382862415) – email it to us
2. Fill in paper copies of these forms (alternatively, you can do it at the office of the Centre for Mobility):
- Consent for personal data processing
- Arrival form
- Sheet for Acknowledgement (fill in the Russian page in the Russian language) (except for Russian citizens)
3. Fill in an online form to order a single-entry pass for your visit to our office (you will receive a QR-code)
When: 12, 13, 15 January: from 14.00 to 17.00 and 14, 16 January: from 10.00 to 12.30
Visit the Centre for Mobility
Fill in and submit the three forms and receive documents needed to arrange a plastic passcard.
- When: 12, 13, 15 January: from 14.00 to 17.00 and 14, 16 January: from 10.00 to 12.30
- Where: Pokrovsky Boulevard, house 11, entrance #1, building D, room D605 (Map)
- To enter the building you will need your passport and the QR-code
Visit HSE Access Control Office
Collect your plastic passcard that you need to enter HSE buildings

- You will need your Student ID
