Description: The UFMG Summer School on Brazilian Studies (SSBS) is a comprehensive course that offers students from all over the world an understanding of key aspects of Brazil from distinct perspectives. Over two weeks of intense learning, sessions will cover the underpinnings of Brazilian politics, history, foreign relations, geology, law, economy, arts, culture and race.
Fee: The program fee is $1000, encompassing a comprehensive package that includes lectures covering diverse topics on Brazil, Portuguese classes, accommodation, three daily meals, cultural activities and transportation for field trips. Full and half scholarships will be offered to invited UFMG partners.

2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) programme

Description: SURF provides a great opportunity for undergraduate students to work together with XJTLU academic staff on research projects during the summer, through which the students can apply knowledge acquired in the class and to develop practical and presentation skills. The main aim of the SURF programme is to stimulate the research interest and creativity of undergraduate students.
Eligibility: Undergraduate students who are in stage 1, 2 or 3 of their undergraduate studies at one of XJTLU’s partner universities (confirmed by X-Global).
