Intellectual Competitions

The financial support is provided in the form of reimbursement of expenses on international intellectual competitions.

Eligibility

The following groups of students are eligible to apply for a scholarship:
— Bachelor, Specialist, Master, PhD students from all HSE campuses;
— Students whose studies are funded either from the federal budget or privately.

Application types

— Individual
— Group. Such application is made by either:

• a group’s coordinator from the HSE faculty;
• a student, chosen as a group leader.

What expenses can the scholarship cover?

Partial reimbursement:
— Travel and accomodation

Full reimbursement:
— Travel and accomodation;
— Visa fees;
— Medical insurance;
— Registration fees.

*Group coordinator from the HSE Faculty can receive daily allowance.

Application deadlines

If a competition takes place in Russia: no later than 30 calendar days before the trip.
If a competition takes place outside of Russia: no later than 45 calendar days before the trip.

Applications review

— On a competition basis;
— Is supervised by a HSE Competition commission on international student mobility;
— Only applications including complete package of documents will be taken into consideration;
— In case you had participated in an intellectual competition before and have successfully provided a report on your trip, your application will be processed;
— The Competition Committee decides on weather an applicant will receive a partial or full reimbursement, or no reimbursement altogether;
— The Committee’s decision is announced to an applicant via email.
